THE FOOT STAMP JUMPER BAND

One of the Festival's feature Bands is the Foot Stamp Jumper Band; a quintet made up 2 faculty & 3 students from the Queensland Conservatory Griffith University.  John Hoffman (Flugel Horn) moved to Australia in 1977 after 6 years of touring and recording with the bands of Buddy Rich, Harry James & Woody Herman.  Other Band members include:  Hannah Macklin (voice), Steve Newcomb (Piano), Gerard McFadden (BASS), Richie Daniell (Drums). 

                                           PALMERIN STREET JAZZ PARTY

Jumpers & Jazz in July takes to the streets on Saturday 26th of July 08 from 12 - 5pm.  From local favourites and Jazz artists to visiting performers and buskers, the street will come alive with the very essense of Jazz - the people!  Be entertained by street performers, warm up with coffee, view the tree art, listen to live music, meet new people and most of all enjoy the atmosphere of Jumpers & Jazz in July.

 

THE KRANSKY SISTERS VISIT WARWICK IN JULY

Queensland Arts Council presents The Kransky Sisters - Three Bags Full.  "A musical act like no other.  If dame edna ever retired to the outback and procreated, the result might be something like the Kranskys".  The Scotsman, Edinburhg 2006.  Drawing a cult following wherever they go, these three curious and dysfuncitonal siblings are darkly and strangely alluring.  After sell-out international shows and regular TV appearances including the ABC's The Sideshow, many are intrigued to know their meloncholy magnetism. Using bizarre musical equipment to accompany popular songs and off-beat stories The Kransky Sisters are a magnetic musical comedy act not to be missed! SOLD OUT!

Jazz Express:  Sunday 20 July. 'Kez & Tez', 'South St Jazz' and Warwick Choral Society will be performing at the Warwick Railway Precinct on Hamilton St.  10AM - 3.00pm  FREE ENTRY. BBQ Lunch , Licensed Bar, Drinks, Icecream.  Steam Locomotive Rides $5 (Covered shoes & long strides are essential!!), Jumping castle, people mover, face painting, Model trains.

Fassifern Three:  Friday 25 July. Play at the Criterion. Entry is FREE. From 5.30pm.

Dinner & Jazz:  Saturday 26 July Guest artist Deeny Kohler-Caporale at Elle's coffee lounge & Lic Restaurant. 6.30pm for 7pm. Bookings Essential $30 07 4661 7140
